Written by Terry Smith

Oh, Cettie, listen, hear that distant train,
Moonlight sonata, soft and slow refrain.
Conductor driven, unseen by his fold,
He sounds his horn before each crossing road.
A pulse, it penetrates our peaceful night
An inspiration, its directed might.
Each blast to benefit his fellow man
A force unstoppable is close at hand.
Im not a monster, foe, nor wild beast.
Im just a man, like you, but going East.

Terry Smith, 2014
